HANO LEAD POISONING CLASS ACTION

Suzette Bagneris is Class Counsel in a class action filed against HANO and its insurers for lead poisoning thousands of children who lived in public housing developments in New Orleans. Insurance Companies for HANO and C.J. Brown Property Management, Inc., C.J. Brown Public Housing, Inc., Ventana Property Management, Inc., and Ventana Public Housing Managment, Inc. have offered to settle this matter for $65.5 million.

If you lived in a public housing development (Iberville, Florida, Lafitte, B. W. Cooper, St. Bernard, Desire, Guste, Fischer, St. Thomas, or C.J. Peete/Magnolia) in Orleans Parish before February 17, 2001, and either sued claiming damages from lead poisoning, or were born on or after December 12, 1987, and can prove lead poisoning (an elevated blood lead level of 10 micrograms per deciliter of whole blood or higher) before age 7, then you should complete a Registration Form. The Court will hold a fairness hearing on December 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at Civil District Court, 421 Loyola Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70112. Notice of the fairness hearing will be highly publicized in the Times Picayune. Funds will likely be disbursed to the Class in 2012.
